JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Production Accounting Supervisor, the Accounting Assistant 1 will support the Production Accounting Team in the processing of invoices for bulk wine sales and services and other non-standard invoices. This includes the collection and organization of supporting records for the Company’s export programs. This person will also keep accurate G/L analysis with monthly reconciliation of the related accounts. Additionally, provide clerical and administrative support to the Production Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Daily process of bulk wine sales shipment, services, or other non-standard products in accurate and consistent fashion. Accuracy is essential as it reflects the competence and professionalism of the Company.
- Setup and maintenance of new customer accounts and records.
- Perform monthly Sales and Cost and G/L account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries for bulk costing.
- Process (record and code) receipts of cased and bulk goods for payment by AP Team.
- Maintain and reconcile Bulk Wine Commission, Duty Draws and Bulk Wine Sales Contract balances.
- Review and reconciliation of the Company’s Bulk and Cased Goods Import and Export program.
- Assist with record analysis as needed.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Support of department in miscellaneous duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-year degree OR 2 years’ experience in accounting or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards/Oracle ERP system preferred but not required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must have a high rate of accuracy in reviewing and maintaining accounting records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of time management and prioritization.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Primary work activities are Remote.
- Occasional travel as needed to facilities in California for training, attend meetings, and complete other assignments.
