Our accounting associate will perform diverse accounting functions to support the accounting and finance activities at Beghou Consulting. This role will be primarily responsible for facilitating various aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate financial data entry, reconciling expenses, and maintaining meticulous records.
We’ll trust you to:
- Lead accounts payable processes, including setting up and onboarding new vendors, processing invoices, verifying invoices, obtaining necessary approvals and managing the cash disbursement process.
- Set up new vendors within the ERP system.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparation and review of journal entries for accounts payable accrual entries and reconciliation of expense accounts.
- Record fixed asset additions, disposals, and transfers.
- Ensure accurate billing and organizes related documents.
- Support month-end close activities for expense related areas including AP accrual entry and fixed assets and depreciation.
- Lead bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Record add-back travel expenses and review expenses on expense tracking software for employee reimbursement
- Validate reimbursement claims for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and adherence to company policies.
- Assist with budgeting and variance analysis for expense areas.
- Co-ordinate annual audit and work with on-site auditors, as necessary.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and yearly financial statements.
- Manage quarterly state tax filing in multiple states.
- Provide support to the accounting manager.
- Assist with various ad hoc finance and accounting projects.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance required.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience required.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Sage 50, and Sage Intacct, preferred.
- Basic spreadsheet skills required.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate active listening skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and adapt quickly.
- High integrity with a strong work ethic.
$50,000 – $60,000 a year
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Beghou, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000 to $60,000.
