RESPONSIBILITIES
Our accounting teams work together to become the outsourced accounting departments for several clients at a time. As a Accounting Manager with us you will play a crucial role in supervising accounting staff, providing financial solutions to clients, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Supervise accounting staff, overseeing various accounting tasks such as bank and account reconciliations, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close.
- Assist clients with cash flow management, cash flow forecasting, and ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and needs, designing and implementing tailored financial solutions.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff accountants, offering overall financial accounting guidance.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in small privately-held entrepreneurial companies, along with some public accounting or audit experience.
- Deep and solid knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, etc.).
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively guide and motivate a remote team.
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and maintaining the highest professional standards.

**NOTE: This is a W2, full-time, 40-hour/week position. We are committed to fostering employee engagement and seeking individuals for long-term employment. As part of our comprehensive recruiting process, we will include two short assessments, the results of which will be considered as part of your overall application. Additionally, there will be a live accounting test via Teams Screen Share to confirm your accounting skills. Passing this test is a mandatory requirement for this position. The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $115,000.
How We Determine Compensation:
As a fully remote employer, ALC determines pay for positions by considering local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We assess external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the marketplace for jobs comparable to those within our company. The posted salary range is based on national data and may be adjusted to reflect a candidate’s specific region, town, or cost of living.
For new hires, we aim to offer competitive compensation that allows room for future growth. Salaries are determined based on factors such as the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, specialized knowledge, and skills. We also consider the external market rate, our internal budget, and internal equity for the same position. Candidates with a stronger skill set may receive higher pay.
