Overview
The Accounting Manager monitors, controls, and audits all financial transactions within the hospitality accounting division. This role performs a full range of professional accounting duties involved in fiscal management, record keeping, reporting and financial analysis of the facility. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative professional responsible for supporting the financial infrastructure of their assigned facilities as well as the division. The candidate will communicate and work with the teams at the physical locations as well as assist other staff accountants during the monthly cycle and at month end.
This role will pay a salary of $80,000.

Responsibilities
- Daily written and verbal interaction with venues nationwide and international
- Working directly with Divisional and Regional Senior Level Management
- Reconcile overhead and venue balance sheets accounts.
- Oversee tax process with tax firm ensuring accurate and timely state filings and resolve discrepancies with local and state entities.
- Oversee and guide staff accountants with bank reconciliation process.
- Post overhead banking transactions to Sage accounting software.
- Work with senior staff accountant with fixed assets management
- Support approximately 10 facilities with financial statement preparation for Corporate Office and Client, and other financial reports, including monthly commission/mgmt fee statements.
- Prepares and performs bank reconciliations for supported venues.
- Prepares and performs balance sheet reconciliations for supported venues.
- Support the field in onboarding and offboarding venues.
- Verify & post entries to general ledger accounts; run trial balances.
- Perform analysis of accounting records
- Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
- Oversee and guide staff accountants with external audits.
- Examine and verify a variety of financial documents and reports.
- Apply Federal, State, and local laws and regulations pertaining to accounting and auditing work.
- Directs the installation and maintenance of any new accounting procedures and controls.
- Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
- Other miscellaneous projects.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration or a closely related field.
- 5-7 years of professional accounting experience, preferably including some supervisory experience. Some experience in the sports entertainment industry preferred but not required.
- The ability to be a self-starter, handle multiple tasks, be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines.
- Be able to work late nights during the month end close and year end.
- Capable of working with all levels of management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software preferred.
