Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk must be a detail orientated employee that works in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Ability to multi-task, operate ten-key by touch and Excel is required. Tasks include processing invoices for payment and extensive customer service.

Duties

  • Retrieve, open and date stamp daily mail
  • Sort, match and code invoices in preparation for payment
  • Ensure each invoice has appropriate documentation, approval and coding
  • Key invoices into computer A/P system
  • Select invoices for payment from cash requirement list
  • Prepare checks
  • Research problems raised by vendors. Use computer access to inquire regarding status of invoices and payment
  • File and retrieve various accounting records
  • Other related duties as assigned
