Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk must be a detail orientated employee that works in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Ability to multi-task, operate ten-key by touch and Excel is required. Tasks include processing invoices for payment and extensive customer service.
Duties
- Retrieve, open and date stamp daily mail
- Sort, match and code invoices in preparation for payment
- Ensure each invoice has appropriate documentation, approval and coding
- Key invoices into computer A/P system
- Select invoices for payment from cash requirement list
- Prepare checks
- Research problems raised by vendors. Use computer access to inquire regarding status of invoices and payment
- File and retrieve various accounting records
- Other related duties as assigned
