The opportunity:

At Frost, our Accounts Receivable Specialist maximizes revenue by ensuring prompt payments for goods and services offered to clients. This position gathers data, calculates fees, and creates concise invoices for seamless billing.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Communicate and work closely with billing managers regarding billing and collections.
  • Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Administer collection efforts by reviewing and identifying delinquent accounts and pursuing payments from delinquent account holders via mail, phone, or email.
  • Create internal and external reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Research customer discrepancies.
  • Copy, file, and retrieve materials upon request.
  • Verify the accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
  • Create itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents.
  • Effectively exhibit communication, listening, and problem-solving skills, including asking questions.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, related software, and other accounting software programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.

What can you expect?

  • Initial phone screening of qualified candidates.
  • Panel interview with a member of Human Resources and partners who this position will interact with for candidates who advance from initial phone screen.
  • Secondary panel interview with member of the team this position will be working with for those who advance from the first panel interview.
