Accounts Receivables Manager

SALARY RANGE: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 Per Year (DOE)

PAY DAYS: Weekly

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday – 7:30AM to 4:30PM

Job Description:

  • Post cash receipts, and report to senior management daily.
  • Review AR aging frequently to ensure payments by customers are received by customers by the required date. Follow-up with customers on all overdue balances until payment has been received.
  • Manage a rolling weekly forecast of cash-receipts, tracking forecast versus actual collections, and actively work to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Reconcile the AR ledger balance to ensure all payments and invoices are accounted for and properly posted to the GL.
  • Verify payment discrepancies, and resolve all client inquiries promptly.
  • Generate and send out monthly statements to customers.
  • Manage all vendor insurance certificates, to comply with customer insurance requirements.
  • Manage vendor lien releases in coordination with the Purchasing Manager, and ensure that all customer pay applications have the proper lien releases furnished so as to not incur delays in customers’ payments.

Secondary Job Duties:

  • Take the lead in preparation of audit materials for annual audit, and periodic bank and insurance audits.
  • Review all new customers with appropriate division leadership.
  • Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by the CFO.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Capabilities

  • Ability to learn and apply GAAP accounting in a construction environment using percentage completion method for revenue recognition.
  • Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail required.
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility required to successfully accommodate deadlines.
  • Ability to set priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Timberline, Spectrum, Viewpoint or other larger ERP systems, particularly in a construction environment a plus.
  • Detail oriented in all correspondence and contract execution; proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and mathematical and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years professional work experience with 3+ years of experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Spectrum experience preferred (or another larger ERP system).
