ACF Marketing Assistant

Overview

The Aggie Chocolate Factory, Research, and Learning Center (ACF) within the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences at Utah State University is a small-scale craft manufacturer of bean-to-bar chocolate specializing in high quality single origin products. To meet financial objectives Aggie Chocolate Factory must increase sales to the campus community, the public, and to wholesale accounts.
The ACF has an opening for a part-time position for a marketing assistant. This position reports directly to the Manager of the ACF.

Responsibilities

Success in this position will require the talent and experience to a) create content based on understanding the Aggie Chocolate Factory’s target audience and Utah State University brands, b) create and implement marketing strategies, and c) research and recommend new engagement tactics and technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working with social media accounts and mailing software
  • Knowledge of university marketing methods and constraints including Rule R765-555

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • Experience working with a food manufacturer, retailer, and wholesaler

  • Ability to work 5 hr/week
  • Ability to think logically, creatively, critically, solve problems, and implement solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt as necessary to changing circumstances
  • Personal computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
