Acquisition Support Specialist

Responsibilities

PM SAI falls under Program Executive Office – Intelligence Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S). PM SAI is headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) with product line support offices located at APG, MD. PM SAI is responsible for development, production, modernization, fielding, and sustainment of integrated manned and unmanned aerial Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensor payloads that leverage National and other Services’ capabilities. PM SAI also provides product solutions to support warfighting Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) of Intelligence products.

We are Hiring:

An Acquisition Specialist with experience as a Contracts Specialist and Program Analyst. This individual will be located at APG, MD.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide acquisition expertise and support development of program acquisition plan and documentation for program initiation
  • Review and provide guidance for updates of program documentation, supporting the acquisition process to include: documents required by law, regulation, directive and/or policy such as the U.S. Code Title 10 DoDD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02 and AR 70-1.
  • Coordinate, identify, prepare, review, and track approval of program documentation; More programmatic/acquisition type of support, knowledge of what to put into the documents/plans, document coordination.
  • Capable of providing program management, strategy, and planning support
  • Significant contract artifact development throughout FY24 for multiple contract actions in FY25
  • Assist in the preparation of Acquisition Requirements Package (ARP) and other contractual documentation in support of the Program Offices’ product contracts
  • Expert in FAR/DFARS. AFARS
  • Lead coordination and contract artifact development for sensor procurements in FY25
  • Lead coordination and contract artifact development for data architecture design award in FY25
  • Lead development of contract strategy and OTA package (for FY26 award)
  • Previous acquisition and project leadership experience highly desired.
  • Previous experience in HAP development “world” would be beneficial, but not a requirement.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • Combination of Acquisition, Contracts, and Program experience on Army Programs.
  • Understanding of Acquisition policies under 5000.
  • Understanding of Acquisition packages.
  • ARP experience.
  • Proficient in knowing and understanding FAR/DFAR/AFARS.
  • Ability to lead.
  • Experience in project leadership.
  • Experience in HAP development a bonus.
  • DOD Secret Clearance, TS preferred, or ability to obtain.

BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+, in lieu of degree, HS Diploma and 16 years of applicable work or military experience.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
