Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Active Directory Administrator to join our Corporate IT team in our Canton, MA office or remotely nationwide. This position is responsible for deploying new technologies as well as installing and configuring, maintaining, and performing system integration testing.
Responsibilities:
- Performs requested administration as required. Grants and revokes access to system resources to internal and external customers by exercising a broad knowledge of hardware, operating systems, applications, middleware and e-business.
- Troubleshoots environment related problems. Resolves complicated issues in pressured situations by applying expertise. Documents findings for knowledge base.
- Improves efficiency through continuous improvement. Assists with deployment methods to improving the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the group by choosing tools, scripting, and documenting processes for re-use.
- Participates with group projects. Collaborates with other teams and assists in the development of policies, strategies and tactics. Coordinates efforts across functional groups. Plans and deploys solutions by coordinating with others.
- Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of problems and changes at the Tier I level. Enforces policies and monitors system reports by investigating possible exceptions, updates, and maintains and controls documents.
- Cross-trains with teammates to ensure that coverage is maintained to adequately handle fluctuations in volume, staffing, and learning curves.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Operating System (Windows, Unix), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other applicable applications and programs.
- Must demonstrate an intermediate level of technical expertise in related technologies.
- Must have a broad IT knowledge, project planning, communication, and customer service skills.
- Group policy updates and maintenance including consolidation and troubleshooting.
- DNS, DHCP, DFS updates and maintenance including adding or removing entries.
- Certificate renewals and KPI maintenance including new templates.
- Schema changes to add new attributes to the user/group objects if needed.
- Recovery of the Active Directory environment during a disaster or DR exercise.
Nice to haves:
- Azure experience preferred.
- Terraform experience preferred.
- PowerShell scripting experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience with one or more of the applicable technologies.
- Industry certification a plus.
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $70,000 – $99,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $88,000 – $103,000.
