About the position
Supervise, coordinate and instruct fall soccer league.
This position will work on Sundays between the hours of 12 – 4 p.m. as directed by the Recreation Supervisor.
Posting will be open until filled, or until program start date, September 10.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a positive, educational, active and fun environment for participants.
- Act as safety officer and implement any first aid needed.
- Uphold the integrity of the recreational sport/activity and deal directly with any unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Required to help set-up and breakdown facility for specific activity/athletic instruction.
- Work cooperatively with Park and Recreation Department, other facility users, team managers, and players implementing other recreational programs.
- Act in a polite and courteous manner and represent the Recreation Department and the City of St. Louis Park in the most professional way.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be very familiar with the sport and have knowledge of all official rules and skills.
- Experience working with groups and teaching skills.
- Positive attitude and strong initiative
- Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort with supporting the city’s strategic objectives for racial equity.
