Description
The primary responsibility of the Adjunct Coordinator is to work with the Division of Liberal Arts and Human Resources to recruit, screen, and interview new and returning adjunct faculty as well as to manage the assignments of qualified adjunct faculty. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty Recruitment, Hiring, Division Onboarding, & Teaching Assignments
- Review existing and research potential new recruitment resources for candidates
- Run reports and review semester schedules for current and future adjunct vacancies
- Source, screen, and interview adjunct faculty applicants for all division adjunct vacancies, working with Chairs as appropriate
- Make offers and coordinate hiring and rehiring process
- Coordinate and confirm active/inactive adjunct faculty for reassignment
- Assist with anticipated and unanticipated/emergency staffing needs
- Build relationships with potential applicants, network, find effective recruitment resources to broaden the applicant pool and attract candidates
Communication & Collaboration
- Create and distribute consistent communications to adjuncts regarding teaching requirements, division requirements, college policies, general updates/reminders, events, etc. with the goal of providing support and guidance.
- Plan, update, launch, and manage results of adjunct availability survey
- Collaborate with HR, IT, Academic Divisions, Distance Education, etc. as relates to adjunct faculty support
- Update Division Adjunct Faculty Resource Guide as needed
- Communicate division staffing decisions to faculty such as class cancellations or reassignments
Systems & Admin Items
- Set up and assignment of adjunct faculty in Colleague and assignment of contracts
- Generate, manage, and track adjunct agreements
- Run informer reports to review staffing needs and accuracy of course listings and Colleague data entered
- Communicate with Distance Education to register new hires for required Bb Training courses
- Manage Adjunct Group Email with new members and removing terminated faculty
- Use NeoGov as a recruitment resource to review adjunct applications, update existing or create new job postings as needed, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education Required:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required, master’s degree preferred.
Experience Required:
Three plus years of experience in recruitment (high yield recruitment experience a plus) in an educational or related setting. Strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and organizational abilities required.
Experience Preferred:
Experience in higher education, preferably at a community college. Teaching experience in a higher education setting a plus.

INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
