ADJUNCT PROFESSOR- MEDIA ARTS, SCIENCES, AND STUDIES- WRITING AND PRODUCING FOR TELEVISION

The Ithaca College Roy H. Park School of Communications invites applications for a continuing part-time position in Writing and Producing for Television to begin August 16, 2024. This is a part-time, renewable position (pending enrollment). The successful candidate will teach assigned classes in both our Writing for Film, Television, and Emerging Media B.S. Program (Writing for Series TV, Writing the TV Pilot, TV Writing Thesis, and/or other related courses) and our Television and Digital Media B.S. Program (Program Development, Producing for the Digital Age, The Business of the Television and Film Industries, and/or other related courses). The successful candidate will teach 14 credits per academic year, typically eight credits in the fall term and 6 credits in the spring term.

Ideally, candidates will have an MFA in Screenwriting or a related field. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree plus significant professional television writing experience will be considered. We prefer candidates who have a record of successful college teaching and who share our commitment to professional preparation within the context of an interdisciplinary and immersive liberal arts education
