Responsibilities
We are searching for driven, enthusiastic talent to join our team. The primary purpose of the Administrative Apprenticeship is to provide a new college graduate with the experience, knowledge, and skills to successfully transition to an entry role on the Mayo Clinic team.
The apprentice’s responsibilities include learning specialized tasks in their chosen field through actual job training under the supervision of tenured staff.
An apprentice’s duties include but are not limited to performing administrative tasks as needed, providing possible recommendations on improving productivity, participating in classes and/or workshops on and off-site, observing all health and safety codes, completing assignments, as well as delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders. You should be well-organized, flexible, and willing to assist wherever possible. The duration of the administrative apprenticeship is approximately one year.
The Supply Chain Administrative Apprenticeship is a full-time one-year hybrid (onsite* and remote) experience during which recent college graduates will explore two areas of Supply Chain Management via the assignment of a project or business challenge. The apprentice will work directly with a manager and mentors to gain both contexts to the challenge and skills to help make recommendations. Students will gain hands-on experience supporting an operational Supply Chain function.
Successful apprentices must have great time management skills and be willing to fit into the existing staff structure. Outstanding apprentices respond well to criticism, build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting impression.
Mentors will be assigned to the apprentice to help support, guide, and develop the individual for success.
*Onsite locations: Phoenix, Arizona; Rochester, Minnesota; Jacksonville, Florida
