NATURE OF WORK:
- Assemble case files and acquire required information and documentation to prepare case files for law enforcement personnel. • Assist in a variety of specialized confidential clerical legal tasks.
- Attend judicial meetings, and court proceedings, preparing notices and other legal documents.
- Attend to legal inquiries and prepare case files and legal documents.
- Assist in general administrative assistance as needed such as answering phone calls, and scanning. documents, typing documents attending to citizens and visitors.
- Assist in assembling dockets, and legal packets, recording an assist in typing meeting minutes, and maintaining records.
- Specific practices and routines must be learned on the job through daily training and association with the job. Ability to use good judgment and solve problems under supervision.
- Duties include answering & and making phone calls, scanning documents, data entry, sorting, filing, scheduling hearings, docketing dates on the calendar, drafting routine Notices, reviewing documents before filing with courts, and being proactive in identifying tasks that need to be accomplished to prepare hearings.
- Also performs routine clerical work including answering calls, making calls, copying documents, sending, and receiving documents and emails, entering, and retrieving computer data, preparing spreadsheets, assembling materials, and transmitting documents. Contributing to day-to-day operations. (e.g., correspondence, official, legal documents, some accounting tasks).
- Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for accuracy, and adherence to legal practices and the department’s policies and procedures.
- Any other related work assigned, including attending program promotional events.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required and six months of administrative/ clerical / office experience required; or an equivalent combination of college education, training, and experience. Required to become a Florida Notary within six months. Work requires proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
This position requires passing a Police background investigation including Medical/ Physical, polygraph, and driving history.

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree.
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
