DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This Administrative Officer 1 position serves as an assistant to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and provides administrative support to the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) in the areas procurement, budgeting, asset management, vendor relationship management, customer support, and office management. The successful applicant will be independently responsible and accountable to ensure that BIT has the necessary support to provide superb customer service while maintaining high levels of productivity. You will enjoy the flexibility to apply your experience to identify opportunities for administrative process improvement and work to enact recommendations to promote increased efficiency and reduced duplication.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid meal period OR 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid meal period; 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, depending on operational needs and progress in learning assigned tasks. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to work on-site.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor’s degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
