This position is located in the Data Quality AOS Unit, Headquarters, Blythewood, S.C.

Responsibilities of the Titles & Registration Specialist II
• Able to interprets laws, policy and procedures and use DMV Phoenix system to enter, edit, rebuild, and retrieve data for customers, courts, or law enforcement.
• Corrects customer information resulting from erroneous data entry.
• Combine/Merges customer records.
• Performs extensive research on the customer records to update the database.
• Responds to routine inquiries from customers in person or through other modes of communications, such as, telephone, email, or mail.
• Serves as a support function for the DMV field offices/BA/Developers.
• Reviews documents for accuracy and compliance. Prepares documents for scanning daily.
• Maintains appropriate tracking system for customers inquires and perform other duties as may be required by manager or supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent.

An equivalent education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.

A national criminal background check to include fingerprints must be completed prior to assuming the duties of this position to become NCIC certified.

Additional Requirements
• Extensive knowledge of Motor Vehicle laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency personnel and the public.
• Ability to learn and explain policies and procedures to the DMV customers. Ability to deal effectively with internal/external customers in dissemination obtained information.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Proficient in basic computer skills and experience utilizing the Remedy (Trouble Tickets) system is desired but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Employee works under general supervision; however, he/she has moderate amount of independence and discretion.
• Work in general office environment.
• May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week. Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs.
• The work requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.
