St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers seeks an Administrative Support Professional to act as the point person at South County Habilitation Center for selected Business Office operations. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with Saturday/Sunday/Holidays as regular days off.

Job Duties:

Administrative support positions at this level are accountable for overseeing and coordinating the work of staff doing a limited range of general activities in direct support of agency programs or operations that focus on banking, purchasing, and Fleet, and as the ITSD contact.

The primary duties assigned to this Administrative Support Assistant position include:

  • Supervises Purchasing/Storekeeping Staff to ensure departments are functioning and communicating properly.
  • Ensures all Procurement rules and guidelines are followed.
  • Performs Consumer Banking duties at the site including distribution and collection of funds and receipts following at State and Social Security Guidelines.
  • Reviews all requests for purchases to ensure proper use of state, federal, and consumer funds.
  • Ensures site has appropriate stock levels in the storerooms, as well as in the homes and offices.
  • Maintains fleet for the site, including reconciling fuel receipts monthly and maintaining Fleet System.
  • Serves as site point of contact for ITSD for phones and equipment use.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of office management and/or supervision.
  • Knowledge of a variety of support service functions and the rules and regulations related to those areas.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop skills of staff.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate support operations to attain work objectives.

Eligibility:

This position will be filled with the most qualified candidate after consideration of each applicant’s interview, work experience, work performance, training and other background information. DMH employees who have had disciplinary actions within the past 6 months will not be considered.

To be eligible for this position, you must have either 4-6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
