About the position
Keep score for evening adult basketball programs.
This position will work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 – 9:30 p.m. for an average of 12 hours per week through the end of the 2024 season in March.
Hired employees may be invited to return for the next season, running November 2023 – March 2024.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Record scores for adult athletic programs using electronic scoreboard in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report results to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work cooperatively with department, other facility users, team managers, and players implementing other recreational programs.
- Act in a polite and courteous manner and represent the department and the City of St. Louis Park in the most professional way.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have familiarity of the sport.
- Must have ability to work quickly and with accuracy.
- Must be able to work 4 hour shifts in the evenings, up to 4 times per week.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a scorekeeper.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort with supporting the city’s strategic objectives for advancing racial equity.
