2nd Shift About The Opportunity
Position Summary
The Forklift Operator drives an industrial truck equipped with forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in the facility.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
- Safely operate the Woodward Aerator to properly prepare the printed sheets for the Laminator
- Safely Move aerated loads from the aerator to the laminator
- Transport finished jobs or goods into correct areas
- Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed including but not limited to (load freight into trailers)
- Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
- Accurately complete forklift operator’s checklist
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
- Confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
- Conduct a physical inventory of all corrugated materials by performing daily cycle counts
- Perform inventory audits on a daily basis or as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area, and by keeping neat, orderly and safe stacks of stock in storage areas
- Maintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computer.
- Adhere to daily production schedule, and make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals
- Assist other forklift operators as necessary and serve as backup to Shipping Lead Person
- Complete necessary reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data
- Assist supervisors on the production floor to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform all functions accurately as required in our BVP system
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Essential to this Position
- All outlined Key Duties above are considered to be essential to this position.
- The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22.33 to $23.38 depending on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a bonus plan and benefits package.

Work Experience Required
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry
- Prior work experience as a forklift operator
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
- Ability to effectively work in teams
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate
- Able to apply concepts of high school math
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or graphic form
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations
- Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation
- Ability to consistently produce at a high level
- Ability to work with plant management for required results
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
