Aerial Technician

Cognizant is a large IT consulting firm that leverages modern technology to transform business in a variety of industries. This role is expected to support the in-car mapping technology on the fleet of vehicles. This associate will need to have the ability to analyze problems and return quick solutions to challenging issues. Technicians supporting aerial projects should have US citizenship to meet government requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assembly and disassembly of systems in-house and in-field on vehicles & aeroplanes etc.
  • Troubleshooting and replacing various computer and camera components
  • Remote support for aeroplanes & vehicle fleet, including walking operators through system function tests and collecting relevant data over the phone
  • Support engineering teams with test and data collection projects
  • Travel may be required to complete in-field repairs
  • Create and maintain safe working environments
  • Coordinate shipment of equipment to and from field locations
  • Attend occasional customer meetings

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 years experience in hardware troubleshooting, installation and warehouse management
  • High school or equivalent
  • Technological savviness
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business.
  • Comfortable with a rapidly-changing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, motivated, proactive attitude with a passion for learning and creative problem solving

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $30 – $35 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
