The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is currently seeking THRIVE Directors and Assistant Directors to be a part of their afterschool and before school programs, serving students from the Beaverton School District.

We believe that friendly and supportive interactions with other children and instructors are essential for children’s development. Our afterschool program strives to create a fun and educational environment where children can discover and develop their talents while understanding their significance both individually and within their community.

The THRIVE After School program will be offered at the following facilities:

  • Cedar Hills Recreation Center
  • Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center
  • Garden Home Recreation Center (and Chehalem Elementary)
  • Tualatin Hills Athletic Center

We offer flexible working hours throughout the week. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year.

As a THRIVE or , your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing assigned learning curriculum, recreation programs, classes, or activities.
  • Independently coordinating, supervising, and instructing day-to-day activities of the assigned program area, while providing lead direction to part-time staff.
  • Leading learning and enrichment activities for your assigned program area.
  • Creating a welcoming program/class atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and ensures participant satisfaction.
  • Ensuring the safety of all program participants and providing basic first aid if necessary.
