Job Summary
MAPFRE is selecting a Distribution Lead for a new strategic program. This is a dynamic position aimed at transforming the way MAPFRE engages with Independent Agents; working collaboratively with existing teams within. The Distribution Lead is responsible for the volume, quality of business and the satisfaction of all the Independent Agents participating in the program, including sales training and agency onboarding related to the program. The Distribution Lead must drive collaboration across and within functions to ensure success and growth while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment.
Salary commensurate with experience. $105,000 – $140,000 / yearly
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 4 – 6 years – or Associates Degree equivalent plus 6 – 8 years.
Knowledge: Complete understanding and knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform or lead work requiring extensive analytical business skills.
Decision Making: Makes decisions using broad management limits. Applies guidelines and procedures that leave considerable room for discretion and interpretation. Decisions directly influence project, client relationships and or expenditures. Additionally, decisions exert some influence on organization’s long-range goals and objectives. Participates in determining objectives of assignments.
Supervision Received: Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy in meeting objectives.
Leadership: Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff as needed. Takes a lead role in group, team or project.
Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of innovation. Ensures that solutions are effective in meeting organizational objectives. Questions problem definition to address underlying issues.
Client Contacts: Manages difficult complex situations and or high impact internal external relationships. Serves as consultant to management on high impact and complex projects and may also be an external spokesperson for the organization on significant matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives. Interaction frequently includes senior internal and external personnel often requiring complex coordination between organizations.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others while exercising a wide degree of creativity and latitude in problem solving and decision making
- Experience working in the P&C industry, or related financial services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Define:
- Segmentation and selection criteria for eligible Independent Agents
- Program’s value proposition for Independent Agents, in alignment with MAPFRE’s channel strategy
- Operations related to the program, with strong focus on growth and Agent satisfaction
- High-level all marketing, communications and sales materials related to the program (internal and external)
- High-level requirements for the technological capabilities needed
- Own all strategic metrics (KPIs / OKRs) and their goals for each period
- Agency Experience in collaboration with the team’s Design Lead
- Deploy and run the initiative among selected Independent Agents, including sales training and agency onboarding
