Agile Systems Senior Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

Peraton is looking to hire a Team Lead / Scrum Master to work in Chantilly, VA. This team includes full lifecycle of software and data design, management, development, test and deployment. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Overall contractor performance/schedule
  • Ensuring proper/required coverage for mission support
  • Provide effective communication to both Government and contractors.
  • Ensure proper performance, attendance, and compliance of tasks necessary for the most efficient execution of the contract
  • Assist in staffing Task Orders (TOs) with qualified personnel
  • Facilitate successful performance and provide detailed technical management of the contract team
  • Support Cloud projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Modified SAFe) in collaboration with other systems divisions.
  • Collaborate with team members and customers on a daily basis.
  • Provide business and systems analysis support for projects collaborating with customers and team members to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes.
  • Facilitate and drives requirements clarification to identify epics and breakdown epics into stories with acceptance test criteria to be used to drive iterations.
  • Assure all documented requirements and acceptance test criteria are transparent to the whole team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience/Education: BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+. Four (4) years experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience performing in technical leadership role or program management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as Scrum Master or related lead position
  • Minimum 4 years experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Experience Writing/eliciting Epics and decomposing them into User Stories sized appropriately for the iteration.
  • Experience recognizing and using common repeatable patterns to estimate epics and/or stories.
  • Previous experience with technical task management including task development, customer/stakeholder relationship building, cost & schedule management and staffing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in being responsive, flexible, and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying a systematic, metrics-based process to evaluate a project’s technology maturity.
  • Experience with the engineering, development and maintenance of data repositories, data management applications and systems, or data ingestion applications and systems.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
