Detroit Labs OnSite Business Unit is looking for experienced Technical Project Manager to join an exciting project with an existing client that drives game-changing automotive technology. This role will work on connected vehicle services for customers owning vehicles with connected capabilities across the USA and Canada. These systems consist of several backend, frontend, and middleware applications. The systems integrate with the connectivity units inside the vehicle, and enable features like the ability to remotely start the vehicle, view parking locations, Alexa voice commands, and many more. This is a full-time salaried hybrid role located in Auburn Hills, MI.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Project Manager, or Technical Delivery Lead experience
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), execution of Agile ceremonies and events (Sprint Planning, Stand-up, Refinement, etc), Agile artifacts (Sprints, Backlogs) and high level of proficiency in Agile tools (Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Azure Dev Ops, etc.)
- Experience managing multiple high profile projects, including tracking progress/deliverables, mitigating risk, and resolving road blocks
- Experience leading technical decisions and creating solutions to minimize the duration and severity of business impacts
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing development teams
- Experience working cross functionally with technical teams, product managers, business owners and stakeholders to deliver software products and services
- Must be able to work in a hybrid model in the Auburn Hills, MI area up to 2 days per week
- Detroit Labs is not currently able to hire candidates who will reside outside of the United States during their term of employment
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure development and delivery is aligned with prioritized program roadmap targets and Release Management processes
- Lead technical decisions to minimize the duration and severity of business impacts leveraging ITIL standards
- Responsible for the up-time and availability of Connected Services telematic solution and its supporting applications
- Manage cross-functional team of Developers, Analysts, DevOps, and QA to coordinate systems implementation and releases
- Coach, mentor, develop and lead a best-in-class development team capable of delivering excellent results through agile iterative development methodologies to solve complex technical and business challenges
- Report to senior executives on the progress of individual projects and the overall program
- Collaborate with Product Management and business owners in defining Product Vision including strategies for utilizing and managing incoming data
- Participate in the creation of project budgets for the individual project components, and prepare cost estimates for the program. Manage program budgets to conform to policy, and develop processes for requesting, spending, and reporting expenditures and be accountable for the programs financial performance
- Strategizing to mitigate risks, escalate and resolve roadblocks, and provide transparency and tracking of all project progress and deliverables
