Position Description:
CGI has an immediate need for a AIML Data Scientist to join our financial services team. This is a remote role but can work out of our Bloomfield, CT location. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Data Collection: Gathering and acquiring data from various sources, including databases, APIs, web scraping, and other data repositories.
Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Identifying and handling missing data, outliers, and inconsistencies in the dataset to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Data Exploration and Visualization: Using statistical and visualization techniques to explore the data, identify patterns, trends, and correlations, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Modeling: Applying machine learning, statistical analysis, and other algorithms to develop predictive models, clustering, classification, and regression analysis.
Model Training and Evaluation: Building and training machine learning models using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and evaluating their performance.
Feature Engineering: Selecting and transforming relevant features from the data to enhance model performance.
Model Deployment: Integrating developed models into production systems or platforms for real-world applications.
A/B Testing: Conducting experiments and analyzing the results to assess the impact of changes or interventions.
Data-driven Decision Making: Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify business problems and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with other teams, such as engineering, product development, and marketing, to incorporate data insights into their strategies and processes.
Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
Ethical Considerations: Ensuring data privacy and ethical use of data in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Remember that the specific duties of a data scientist can differ from one organization to another, and some data scientists may specialize in certain areas like natural language processing, computer vision, or time-series analysis, among others. Adaptability, curiosity, and strong problem-solving skills are essential traits for a successful data scientist.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
At least 7+ years working as a Data Scientist
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Master’s degree is preferred or equivalent Desired Experiences

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $75,600.00 – $186,000.00.
