Details:

An Aircraft Repair Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY. This job is a full-time position and allows a hybrid work schedule. Fully remote support may be considered depending on experience. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and 3 + years of relevant experience.
Aircraft Repair Engineer job duties:
* Deliver aircraft repairs on time and on quality. Working under hourly timelines and delivering the best solution for the life of the airframe
* Aircraft modifications, new repair definitions, technical investigations of aircraft documentation
* Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis and validation for aircraft repairs
* Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines
* Liaison with other engineers and interact with OEM customers
* Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
* Manage your own project work and provide mentorship to others
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience supporting airframe repairs and possess strong technical ability
* MRO Technical Services / Airworthiness Engineering experience
* Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
* Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines
* Mentoring experience
* Experience taking control of a task from start to finish
* Must have ability to proactively manage tasks and excellent verbal and written communication skills in a customer-facing environment
* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
* Must have excellent computer skills
* Legal authorization to work in the US required
* Travel to Belcan and customer site locations as required

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with CAD packages (CATIA V5 preferred)
* Hand calculations skills and finite element analysis capabilities
* OEM in-service repair experience
* Coding and excel macro writing

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefit package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic locations, and discipline. Benefits may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), education assistance, paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid time of required by law.
