Divergent has invented a complete manufacturing solution to address system level challenges. The Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) is a complete software hardware solution designed to replace traditional vehicle manufacturing. To make the complex simple, it is a complete modular digital factory for complex structures. Given a set of digital requirements as input, the machine automatically computationally engineers, additively manufactures, and assembles any complex structure. The system is able to move seamlessly between manufacturing different vehicle models.
Position Summary:
The Additive Manufacturing (AM) Software intern will contribute to the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) software suite for production and R&D efforts. This role will help support the expanding customer demand at Divergent by streamlining storage and analysis of critical manufacturing and design data.
Responsibilities
Work with cross functional teams (AM/Materials/QA/Software) to gather data requirements
Create data storage solutions for structured and unstructured manufacturing quality data
Develop analytics and reporting tools to help drive business decisions
Gather feedback on existing AM design tools and implement algorithmic/integration improvements
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum:
Ongoing BS or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Engineering or related fields
Ability to gather requirements and collaborate with cross functional teams
Experience with Python
Familiarity with database design
Familiarity with data pipelines and data manipulation
Preferred:
Familiarity with AM processes, quality control and manufacturing analytics
Experience making dashboards using Dash/Plotly
Experience with any of these tools is a plus: C++, MinIO, Splunk, PostgreSQL
$29 – $32 an hour
