A leading utility provider located in New York, NY is looking for an AMI Network Analyst for a 6-12 month contract.
Please note that this is a hybrid role
Pay rate range: $64.00/hr – $74.00/hr

- Candidate must have experience with data collection and reporting analytic and issue resolution purposes.
- Candidate must have ability to collect and analyze data in order to produce performance summaries, exceptions, gaps, trends and opportunities.
- Candidate must have experience with large data set management, discrepancy investigation and data cleanup.
- Candidate must have experience with data presentment and analysis from multiple databases.
- Candidate must have experience with utility data associated with metering and account activity
- Candidate must have experience performing data quality review and report refinement to meet operational business reporting needs
- Candidate must have familiarity with commodity and service requirements associated with Utility Metering Operations
- Candidate must have experience in troubleshooting synchronization issues between multiple databases.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on repetitive tasks
- Experience publishing daily performance and detail reports.
- Experience with executing business system test scripts, documenting and reporting testing results.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation and account/field/record correction.
- Experience preferred with utility energy management systems or billing systems
- Demonstrated experience with data retrieval from databases (i.e. Oracle, MSAccess), and running comparison scripts to identify discrepant information.
- Experience with data visualization through Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience with the creation of automated data reporting
Responsibilities
- Utilizes Head End System in daily work efforts to extract data for analysis, track ongoing system issues, and conduct searches for emerging AMI network performance trends.
- Combine data from available sources to identify system performance, issues and patterns for use in operational decision making
- Create communications and reports on these activities
- Create and refine reports for developed management metrics for project status communications.
- Examine relationships between AMI network devices and individual meters for mesh network performance.
- Develop populations to be visited by various field organizations based on customer type, duration of issue and evolving business and technical rules.
- Develop custom products that portray performance and conditions within critical customer segments
- Develop customer products that portray performance and conditions within project program roll-outs.
- Develop customer products that portray performance and conditions within seasonal and unexpected occurrences such as energy curtailment and storms. project program roll-outs.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed in response to a 24,7 operating unit.
- Monitor work orders generated for timeliness and completion of intended remediation across organizations and vendors.
- Identify and escalate issues that arise in links in the chain, regions, etc.
- Track, monitor and analyze data from various AMI and legacy systems for system reporting and performance purposes.
- Perform system synchronization monitoring, issue identification and troubleshooting for AMI Transaction correction.
- Identify data patterns and issues with AMI Business System synchronization.
- Establish clear failure patterns in data records and determine their generation point (system or manual record entry).
- Refine data queries for optimization and reduced operating duration
- Perform data validation activities for system acceptance testing
- Document products for inclusion into the companies’ enterprise analytic platform for wider and automated use including machine learning capabilities.
- Reconcile project close-out records across inventory, installation records and system provisioning and billing.
- Track meter shipments across locations, employees and customer premises.
- Highlight instances of prolonged employee handling on an asset and inventory inconsistencies across locations and vendors.
