Position: Analog/Digital Electrical Engineer
Experience: 3+ years of experience.
Minimum Education: BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Compensation Range: $100k – $180k depending upon education, skills, and experience.

Analog/Digital engineers further specialize in PCB design, development, and test for a wide range of critical functions. Job Description: Develop, test, and implement medium to high complexity electronic products and systems for advanced, high power laser weapon systems by applying exceptional electrical engineering principles, knowledge, and experience. Manage projects to achieve specifications, schedules, and cost goals. Design goals are to develop power distribution, and analog and digital PCB assemblies to drive electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems and sub-systems. Perform reliability and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes. Conduct research to advance electrical products, systems, and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with all engineering development and software related groups as well as within the Electronics Engineering team.
- Perform detailed design of complex electronic circuits and systems to meet product specifications.
- Coordinate projects and manage project activities, objectives, and schedules.
- Develop, analyze, and recommend design approaches to meet product and cost requirements for new and existing products.
- Integrate electronic solutions with electro-optical, electro-mechanical, firmware, and software interfaces.
- Work with internal and external customers, manufacturers, and vendors for product support.
- Provide BOM management and reconciliation to support configuration management through the system design, development, integration, and test phases.
- Review cost and schedule with cross-functional engineering teams and update metrics accordingly.

- Experience in power systems and batteries.
- Familiarity with power electronics and power conditioning.
- Experience with cable design, build and test.
- Familiarity with conductive electronics cooling techniques.
- Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design, troubleshooting, and test.
- Knowledge of grounding system design and test.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting experience with the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to reach a solution.
- Experience with 38999 connectors and MIL-STD Cable Design.
Additional Desired Experience / Capability:
- Experience in laser diode drive electronics.
- Experience with EMI/EMC design, testing, and mitigation.
- Experience with Fiber Optic cable design for data transmission (MTP connectors and OM3 fiber).
- Compliance testing and certification for international safety standards, EMC, and environmental regulations (UL, CE, IEC, RoHS, etc).
- Familiarity with MS Office 365 tools.
- Experience in task management using GitLab or similar platform.
- Experience with VHDL, Verilog, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C, C++, Python.
- Experience with CameraLink and/or COAX Express standards.
- Experience with electro-optical systems including acquisition, pointing, and tracking.
- Experience in Adaptive Optical (AO) Systems and/or High Energy Laser Systems.
