Role: Business Analyst / Jr Product Owner, WSO Product Suite
Opportunity: The WSO Product Suite is comprised of multiple mature applications. Numerous product teams support the suite using Scrum methodologies and an Agile mindset, delivering new code on a monthly cadence to production environments hosted on AWS. You would serve as a business analyst, alongside other business resources and engineers, on a team that focuses on financial trading functionality.

The efforts to modernize our architecture and the user experience, are both highly strategic and visible engagements across the entire S&P Global Market Intelligence division. Responsibilities:
• Define the business requirements for upcoming work in the backlog
• Work with the rest of the team to transform business requirements into stories with acceptance criteria and story points
• Support the team during the sprint – answer questions, help remove blockers and solve problems and assess and prioritize unplanned work
• Be the “voice” of the user in everything that you do
• Create and maintain user documentation
• Help prioritize and otherwise maintain the backlog
• Become a subject matter expert on the functionality in our code ownership area
• Participate and in some instances drive, various Scrum ceremonies
What we’re looking for
Candidates with …
• University degree, preferably in a technology or related field; the right work experience may substitute
• 3 – 5 years experience with software development, preferably under a Scrum framework
• Strong analytical and initiative mindset
• Strong people skills; works well in team and highly collaborative settings
• Comfort level in fast paced environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of basic SQL skills is a plus
Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $85,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
