Provides the technical skills to assist the department with technical projects, studies, reports, work orders, budgeting, and various other projects to give AECC a safe, reliable, and quality power system.
Responsibilities
- Creates and updates spreadsheets, databases, and various reports on AECC wholly and jointly owned generating facilities including those required to meet RUS, GADS, NERC, FERC and other regulatory requirements.
- Processes jointly owned plant invoices and verifies accuracy of generating facility operation, maintenance, safety, budgeting and billing information.
- Assists with performing research for the writing of operation, maintenance, and technical reports.
- Assist in preparation of capital and operating budgets for AECC wholly and jointly owned generating facilities.
- Collects data and assist in performing analysis work for AECC wholly and jointly owned generation facilities.
- Assists in preparing work orders, purchase orders, and quotation evaluations.
- Corresponds with generating facility personnel and obtains operational, maintenance, safety, budgeting, and billing information as directed and as necessary.
- Utilize and administer the AECC Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) to obtain data for measuring metrics and maintenance performance and to assist wholly owned facilities in EAMS use.
- The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position. Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Must follow explicit job-related instructions and be able to pay attention to detail.
- Must be able to travel as required.
- Must be proficient in language and technical writing skills.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate and other automation tools.
