Analyst Litigation and Regulatory

Position Summary

Under the supervision of attorneys, the Analyst, Litigation and Regulatory is responsible for maintaining the Regulatory and Litigation portfolios, including discovery, litigation file management, responding to subpoenas, managing document holds and interacting with regulatory agencies. The Analyst will also provide support to the legal team as a whole.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage claims through organization of litigation database, discovery, implementation and management of document holds and coordination with business partners for all litigation and escalated claims for and against JetBlue, including insured, uninsured, small claims matters and escalated customer claims, including in-person and virtual court appearances as occasionally necessary
  • Track and process legal and regulatory inquiries including Letters of Investigation, Notices of Proposed Civil Penalties and Subpoenas
  • Assist with other international and regulatory matters, including schedule management, correspondence and certain international corporate filings
  • Responsible for maintaining liquor licenses in various states
  • Assist in maintaining Litigation and Regulatory file management system
  • Assist in support of service of process, registered agent and departmental mail handling
  • Compose certain response letters as necessary, and proofread/revise/redline documents for attorneys in the Legal Department
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting various legal department projects including support in presentations to Board of Directors or Senior Leadership Team as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged material
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, expressing thoughts in an organized manner
  • Basic understanding of legal terms and concepts and the use of defined terms in legal documents
  • Ability to quickly grasp business proposals, parties involved and identify applicable document templates
  • Exceptional spelling, grammar and syntax
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and related computer graphic skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to anticipate and respond accordingly
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an Accredited Institution
  • Proficient in Power Point
  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $58,500.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
