Summary
This position will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating and processing transportation damage claims.
To handle and resolve claims issues and disputes from dealers and transportation vendors.
Responsibilities
• Handle and process transportation damage claims
• Review and investigate damage liability.
• Provide recommendation if damaged vehicle will require 3rd party inspection.
• Prepare and submit transportation claims invoice to liable party.
• Handle and process insurance claims on behalf of customers on force majeure/act of god related incidents:
• Collect incident report.
• Coordinate repairs with dealers or 3rd party repair vendor.
• Prepare claim documents for customer insurance.
• Prepare billing invoice to customers.
• Distribution and reconciliation of open claims
• Weekly review of aging report.
• Follow up on claim payment.
• Monthly distribution of aging report and offset notice to transportation vendors.
• Department KPI review
• Open claims review.
• Claim Analyst status review.
• Assist with claims data analysis.
• Assist with process improvement and special projects.
Compensation Range
- $45,000 – $55,000 per year

Qualifications
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are Required
- Proficient with PCs Required
- Intermediate-level skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook Required
- Experience using database management systems is Required
- The ability to follow directions and enforce corporate and departmental policies and procedures Required
- Must possess interpersonal skills in order to work with other departments in resolving various billing issues Required
- Ability to recognize critical issues that require management involvement Required
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills Required
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and shift critical focus quickly Required
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D is Required
- Bachelor’s Degree is Preferred
- 0 – 2 years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience is Required
- Experience in Port Operations, Accounting, Billing, Financial Analysis, and/or Vehicle Logistics is Preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
- Stand/walk
- Carry/lift a maximum of 15 pounds
