A leading podcast and audiobook company is seeking an Analytics Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our paid media analytics function to surface data-driven strategic opportunities for the Executive Leadership team, focusing on the optimization of our paid media spending globally. The ideal candidate is an independent, analytical self-starter with sharp problem-solving skills, who is comfortable with ambiguity and has the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions. Analytics Manager Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $45-$55/hr

Analytics Manager Responsibilities:
- Deliver reporting and insights in the area of paid media.
- Design and build/lead the development of analytics, BI, and data science deliverables with the aim of optimizing paid media and improving marketing efficiencies.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by insightful interpretation of results and the formulation and communication of recommendations that drive action.
- Work as a business partner with marketing, finance, and data product teams in order to tackle business challenges, and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach.
- Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and Adhoc reports. Analyze data to identify business problems and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis.
- Partner with stakeholders to leverage data (internal data as well as external data from market research and marketing agencies) and address complex business challenges by delivering actionable insights.
- Conceptualize and run analyses that generate insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our value proposition.
Analytics Manager Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Analytics.
- Degree in data science, business, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or other related fields.
- Substantial, relevant experience in the areas of Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field.
- Advanced SQL experience that allows you to comfortably and independently extract data from our database.
- Advanced experience with one or more industry analytics and metrics visualization tools (e.g. Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI).
- Expert in Excel with a proven track record.
- The ability to scope a problem, formulate relevant questions, draw relevant data, and provide insights from the data is critical for the role.
- Experience with membership, subscription-based, or media content businesses is preferred.
- Experience with and/or interest to learn more about cutting-edge data science approaches is preferred.
- Enjoy working in a team of highly engaged individuals. Passion for numbers, data, and metrics, but also for delivering actionable analysis of the highest quality.
- Knowledge of Python and other programming languages, like Java or C#, or statistical software like R or SAS is a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics is a plus.
- Strong bias for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with little guidance and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business leaders and technical teams.
Analytics Manager Shift:
- 2 days per week onsite.
