The team and the role
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders by providing world class financial support. FP&A is made up of advisors who are influential in decision-making and partner with finance leaders to drive meaningful strategic and financial outcomes.
Within FP&A, the Strategic Analytics (SA) team integrates big data analytics, strategic thinking, and deep firm knowledge to provide leadership with insights to drive informed decision-making and enable continued growth. The team partners with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking, and hypothesis-based analysis. Specific responsibilities and qualifications for the Anaplan Senior Consultant role are outlined below.
Work you’ll do
Core responsibilities
- Anaplan Specific
- Support maintenance of Anaplan platform to perform periodic data validation, defect fixes, fiscal year updates, and maintain user access to several environments
- Build out periodic enhancements to create new pages, dashboards, and formulas within Anaplan
- Support Anaplan business users with service requests regarding data discrepancies and abnormalities in the system
- Support large scale, data science projects that leverage data transformation and machine learning models
- Support the development of first-class tools and insights for leadership by balancing the complexity of data, coding/visualization platforms, and client demands
- Support the automation and streamlining of projects to increase efficiencies and scalability
- Ideate alternative procedures and processing to optimize data interactions and drive new insights
- Assist in storyboarding results, supporting recommendations for an executive-level audience and producing leadership-quality deliverables
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Deloitte’s businesses and Enabling Areas, to support key business functions
- Provide ad-hoc automation or information product support
Other responsibilities
- Develop project plans and timelines, track progress through milestones and metrics, and collaborate cross-functionally with firm leadership, Business leadership, FP&A teams (e.g., Finance Business Partners), and additional teams (e.g., Talent, Strategy)
- Develop executive level presentations to communicate and achieve consensus for recommendations
- Build supporting materials that assist leaders and stakeholders in the decision-making process
- Support leaders in strategic activities and engage in stretch opportunities aligned with professional development goals and strengths
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related subject
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Anaplan Level 2 Model Builder Certified
- Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Planning and forecasting
- Project management
- Data analysis, management, and visualization
- Work with senior leadership
- Advanced in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred:
- Anaplan Level 3 Model Builder Certified
- Advanced education degree a plus
- Experience in a professional services firm is a plus
- Machine learning algorithms (e.g., clustering, logistic regression)
- Artificial intelligence software (e.g., Dataiku, DataRobot)
- Advanced understanding of data science and visualization tools (Python, R, SQL)
- Proficiency in Tableau
- Ability to travel as needed
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,900 to $149,700.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
