What We Are Looking For:

The Apparel Graphic Designer/Print Designer is responsible for creating original seasonal all over print design and graphic tee shirt artwork for the ANINE BING brand. The designer will organize and prepare artwork files for vendors by creating repeats, color separation, pitch sheets for graphics artwork as well as graphic placement on silhouettes.

The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter with 5-6 years’ experience in graphic and print design as well as a solid understanding of the apparel industry, materials, garment construction and manufacturing processes. This candidate will enjoy a startup mentality and environment that changes day to day. The designer should possess a passion for creating seasonal artworks and prints, creating color combos that are related to our seasonal color palette.

The Apparel Graphic Designer / Print Designer will work to create new wash techniques for garment wash, develop new screen-printing techniques, new all over print techniques, create tech packs for each graphic tee style in our PLM system and maintain an awareness of fashion trends and direction as it relates to print, pattern and fabrics. Must be Proficient in Adobe Creative – Illustrator and photoshop.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating original seasonal all over print design and graphic tee shirt artwork in line with the brand each season.
  • Organize and prepare artwork files for vendors by creating repeats, color separation, pitch sheets for graphics artwork as well as graphic placement on silhouettes.
  • Utilize hand drawing and computer aided design when creating artworks and prints as well as manipulating original art, vintage art, creating color combos that are related to our seasonal color palette.
  • Develops new wash techniques for garment wash, develop new screen-printing techniques, and new all over print techniques.
  • Creates tech packs for each graphic tee style in our PLM system
  • Maintains an awareness of fashion trends and direction as it relates to print, pattern, and fabrics, and how it relates to silhouette (tee shirt bodies and jersey fabrications).
  • Communicates daily with cross functional team members as it relates to the design and execution of their style.
  • Completes special projects as needed (i.e., special request based on business, new developments, etc.)
  • The candidate will work closely and report to the Design Director

Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years’ experience in graphic and print design as well as a solid understanding of the apparel industry, materials, garment construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Designer level with opportunity to grow within the role.
  • Strong understanding of printing techniques, wash/ garment dying techniques and the ability to problem solve around print limitations.
  • Must be Proficient in Adobe Creative – Illustrator and photoshop.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player, have ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative.
  • Works well in a collaborative team environment and can take direction and feedback with utmost professionalism.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • This role is required to come into the office 4-days per week therefore this candidate must be in Los Angeles.

Perks & Benefits

  • The compensation rage for this position is $70,000-$80,000 per year. Candidate offer will be bases on relevant experience.
