Job Description:
Design and develop software and web applications for McTrans Center by working closely with McTrans developers, engineers, and testers. This work will require knowledge and experience with C#, .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and related technologies. C# object-oriented software development using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) in Visual Studio. The development will involve building software to be used in the transportation industry. The incumbent will need to develop the graphical user interface in addition to implementing the mathematical calculations.
Generate software designs, translating requirements into object-oriented programming (OOP) specifications. The examples of designs include software architecture design and flow charts.
Test software and web applications to resolve issues and assess the correctness of the results as needed to satisfy user requirements. Implement and validate the implemented products to ensure the design meets customer needs. Design and develop prototypes of software for a variety of transportation needs.
Local network, server and miscellaneous IT tasks and responsibilities.
Expected Salary:
$55,000-$65,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience
Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Two years of professional development experience.
• Experience in web development and design using HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, JavaScript, Node.js and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in C# programming, Windows Presentation Foundation and knowledge of OOP concepts and Agile Software Development.
• Experience with WordPress web development, Azure DevOps.
• Experience in Windows Presentation Foundation-based application development.
• Knowledge and experience in transportation engineering and traffic simulations.
