Position Description
As a Logistics Clerk, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, both non-commercial and commercial vehicles, to the appropriate locations in accordance with schedules and requests
- Record, update, and maintain data and records, including service requests, work performed, and other logistics information for Power Industrial units (PITs), company vehicles, and requests
- Transport Team Members and company guests throughout facilities
- Communicate with other departments, Team Members, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate, or explain logistics information, including taking requests, following up on PIT and vehicle service requests, and address transportation issues
- Update logistical records, processes, procedures, and guidelines
- Arrange and follow up on service calls, vehicle repairs, and logistics requests
- Transport company goods internally and externally, as needed
- Operate non-commercial company vehicles, as necessary
- Retrieve mail from post office and distribute inter-office company mail to buildings, as needed
- Perform any other logistical function as directed by team leader
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- High school diploma
- Perform physical activities that require lifting, pulling, pushing, balancing, walking, and climbing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as within the framework of a team
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $18 – $20 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
