Title: Application Development Manager
Location: Orlando, FL – Hybrid – 2-3 Days Onsite Per Week
Duration: 12-to-18-Month Contract
Compensation: $70-$85/hr.
Work Requirements: Authorization to work in the United States as a W-2 Employee (C2C is not available)
DESCRIPTION
- Provides technical process expertise to customers and serves as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and oversight as well as mentoring and coaching to more junior PMs.
- Leads and directs high-priority, complex technology projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of technical and functional integration and interaction with project sponsor team.
- Maintains project schedule and target dates, ensuring timely completion of tasks in line with project deadlines and objectives by using project metrics. Establishes clear ownership for project tasks, ensures that team members have the tools needed, and provides timely feedback.
- Successfully assesses project risks and formulates mitigation plans, successfully develops and updates project budgets as required, and delivers successful projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner as shown by project metrics.
- Assesses project issues and identifies solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer goals.
- Develops and manages a project change control process as needed to ensure project team operates within the scope and change approval process.
- Proactively communicates project status, issues, and risks to management and presents to leadership level personnel through formal presentations.
- Conducts regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view.
- Acts as a liaison between business users and technology implementation teams, communicating appropriately and effectively with co-workers, customers and supervisors, maintaining awareness of project status and any potential delay, situation or concern that may affect the outcome of the projects.
- Works collaboratively with technology development team and support engineers to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between project teams and its stakeholders are precise.
- Continually reviews available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated. Reevaluates current resources to determine project resource surplus and shortfalls.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong familiarity with AWS from a business/functional perspective (understanding of AWS-related jargon, for example).
- Background managing teams responsible for large-scale application development/engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical requirements between cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of SOX and overall compliance is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Related education and/or certifications are a plus, but are not required. The focus is on experience.
