Description
The Application System Analyst will formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs. The Application System Analyst will devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities.
Job Duties:
- Provides advanced support for definition/refinement of business requirements and for quality assurance/acceptance testing efforts
- Ensures the framework of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and phases are followed.
- Designs, develops, tests and debugs software components of moderate to high complexity
- Provides implementation, production and upgrade support for software components of moderate to high complexity
- Focus on system specific requirements with business changes and systems development for a business.
- May act as supporting liaison between the application team and the user community, responsible for facilitating communications, coordinating system enhancements, and providing production support.
- Works with user community to define business requirements in sufficient detail and define business use cases that systems configuration, development/enhancement, and/or Operations activities can be pursued.
- Work with BSA to run analysis on data, run queries, develop tools to help search, analyze and visualize data from various sources
- Manages the development of user and technical documentation according to department standards.

Requirements
Experience and Knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Advanced knowledge of Systems Analysis with focus on customer requirements and concepts of the software development lifecycle
- Communicating technical problems and solutions to non-technical users and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Project management skills for design and development.
- The ability to construct and work to deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Credit Union products and services, features, and benefits.
- Able to explain highly technical concepts, policies and procedures clearly and succinctly to others.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in related technical/business area plus 2 years of IT or business experience. 3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Advanced knowledge of Systems Analysis with focus on customer requirements and concepts of the software development lifecycle.

Salary Description
$63,900 – $79,900
