Apprenticeship Coordinator
Job Description
This position is responsible for developing registered apprenticeship programs with area business and industry throughout Southwest Iowa and the Omaha/Council Bluffs MSA. The coordinator will work directly with both college credit and non-credit programs, faculty and staff to create registered apprenticeships. After developing registered apprenticeship programs, the position must then accurately convey these opportunities throughout the college to students, staff, and faculty, as well as industry and community partners. The areas that will be focused on first are healthcare, manufacturing and trades, however other industries may be pursued. A priority list of apprenticeship programs will be developed by administration.

Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher OR completion of a registered apprenticeship program.
- Ability to develop partnerships with companies and industry partners
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products and other forms of technology
- Possess office skills such as such as budget monitoring, invoice development and tracking, and data tracking
- Public speaking experience or experience developing presentations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to excel in team and individual settings, multi-task, problem solve, manage their time, and maintain positive relationships with others while thriving in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using technology or software such as Constant Contact, Salesforce, RAPIDS is preferred.
Physical Demands
Include occasional lifting to 20 pounds, the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, ability to work with diverse populations, and work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, and working with minimal supervision, a high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills, and high degree of inter-personal skills.

$42,000-$45,000
