Job Summary
Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service? Do you have experience leading a team? We are currently seeking a Guest Service Supervisor to join our team at our water park, where you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for our guests while managing a team of dedicated staff.
Supervises a variety of work in the daily operations of two aquatic facilities; Pirates Bay Waterpark and Calypso Cove, this includes concession stands, ticketing, and the gift shop. Handles concession, merchandise, and ticket sales monies. Maintains and stocks inventory of all merchandise, ticketing and concessions supplies. Supervises guest service leads and representatives. Assists with facility reservations including events, birthday parties, meetings and other facility bookings. Maintains integrity of all funds from assigning cash drawers, performing cash drops throughout the day, random audits, and performing closing procedures and executing end of night deposit. Assists in maintaining and overall cleanliness of the park and all other duties as assigned.
During winter season at Town Square: Provides for a guest focused environment. Must be available to work late nights and weekends at times.
Duties
- Supervises part-time Guest Services Leads and Representatives.
- Assists with facility reservations including events, birthday parties, meetings and other facility bookings.
- Supervises handling of ticketing, concessions, and monies in accordance with City Cash Handling Procedures policy. This includes daily deposits and going to the bank to make change.
- Cleans concession stands and rental areas in accordance with state and city health codes.
- Responds to guest questions, comments and complaints.
- Maintains and stocks inventory of all merchandise, ticketing and concessions supplies
- Meets regularly with the Aquatics Coordinator to ensure there is complete cooperation between divisions.
- Assists in the recruitment of seasonal Guest Service Team Members.
- During winter season at Town Square:
Provides for a guest focused environment. Must be available to work late nights and weekends at times. Supervises handling of ticketing and money in accordance with City Cash Handling Procedures policy – this includes daily deposits and trips to the bank to make change. - All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years/seasons of customer service experience.
- Serve Safe Certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, AED Certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
PREFERRED:
- Some post-secondary education
- One or more seasons as a Guest Service Lead or Guest Service Supervisor with the City of Baytown.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Additional Information
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic math, health standards, hazards, cooking, cash control procedures, and safety practice procedures (which includes AED, CPR, and First Aid). They must be able to operate, supervise, and prepare food. They will work as part of a team and motivate staff to obtain the highest level of service. They will also be able to work with co-workers and guests to solve any challenges they may arise. The Guest Service Supervisor will also be responsible for the continued training of the guest service team.
Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.
