Arc Flash Program Manager

Brown and Caldwell is looking for an Arc Flash Program Manager to immediately contribute to a high-profile, multi-year, strategic electrical engineering and safety program for a large nationwide private sector client. This is a unique opportunity to join our Compliance & Permitting team to deliver exceptional results for an industry-leading program with one of the company’s largest clients.

This position has the potential to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, with a preference of Nashville, Raleigh, or Phoenix.

Detailed Description:

In the role of Arc Flash Program Manager, you will be supporting a client focused electrical safety program conducting power systems studies, thermographic imaging, electrical condition assessments, and arc flash labeling, in the day-to-day oversight and direction of the program. Working closely with the PMO Leads, Technical Leads and Client Service Team members you will oversee and direct a team of industry-leading electrical engineering and compliance and permitting practitioners to meet client expectations, project schedules and achieve program metrics.

  • Develops high-value client relationships, while representing BC.
  • Serves as Program Manager for a top company program.
  • Directing and leading program delivery teams to achieve client driven schedules and goals, and support a world-class electrical safety program.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with cross functional project teams comprised of project delivery PMs, technical/design resources, contract staff and subcontractors.
  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary practitioners to align delivery teams.
  • Supports development of staff members, especially as it relates to exceptional client service delivery, strategic planning, pursuit positioning and effective communication.
  • Utilizes internal systems for communication, tracking and collaboration on projects and opportunities.
  • Meets identified performance metrics including project and program performance goals.
  • Leverages resources, experience, and skills of the firm to support client goals.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • B.S. degree, electrical engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in consulting and engineering services in the environmental sector with progressive project and program delivery, and client service engagement responsibilities required.
  • Having a background in or experience as journeyman electrician with commercial/retail experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70E, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.333 (a) and the NEC.
  • Strong emphasis on Health and Safety practices.
  • Energetic, compelling communicator with exceptional diplomatic and persuasive skills, capable of listening and interacting effectively with staff and clients at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to work and support large, complex projects and programs in the retail or consumer goods sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across a matrix organization, meeting client driven schedules and achieving program goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced- high volume environment, motivating high producing teams.
  • Ability to focus on client needs while balancing multiple internal team priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, lead pursuit teams, and provide strong business growth results in management roles.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, and can work and excel under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for client and business development meetings required.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $137,000 – $187,000

Location B: $151,000 – $206,000

Location C: $164,000 – $225,000
