Falkbuilt Los Angeles Architectural Designer
Architectural Designers are responsible for the precise estimating and design of project. You will analyze building projects from multiple angles, determine the best solutions and scope for Falkbuilt’s solutions, and create pricing estimates that win profitable projects. Working closely with Falkbuilt HQ and other Branch teams, you will interpret architectural designs as specified within project sketches, architectural drawings, or models and realize those designs in both 2D and 3D formats.
This role requires general knowledge of construction and extreme attention to detail and accuracy. The Branch Estimator needs to keep track of the types of materials being used for a building project, the specific measurements for materials, and the count of each item.
Responsibilities:
* Create comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects
* Survey potential sites for suitability and associated cost
* Verify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope
* Create estimates for all necessary insurance considerations
* Present your estimates to stakeholders and clients
* Maintain client confidentiality
* Promote and share our considerable Falking strengths with existing and potential clients
* Help define project scope and objectives with all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
* Meet with clients to create detailed visual and written communication to clarify specific requirements
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
* Use Revit with a Falkbuilt-specific add-in to draft design drawings, including renderings, 3D models, flythroughs, and submittal drawings.
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
* Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
* Manage and execute design assignments promptly and meet milestones and deadlines
* Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
* Evaluate site conditions and constraints for construction projects
* Provide regular project status updates to Falker and stakeholders
* Have a strong sense of the Falkbuilt culture and promote it internally and externally
$30 – $39 an hour
