Job Description
As Area Visual Merchandiser you will play a vital role securing the best possible experience for our customers by providing them with an inspiring and comfortable visit to our stores. In this role, you are responsible for planning all major visual activities within the area as well as guiding a team of store visuals merchandisers with regards to both window and in-store VM.
- Formulate VM Action Plans to support area sales targets
- Oversee the execution of VM instore projects, initiatives, and provide feedback to cross-functional partners.
- Empower stores team to adapt or substitute products in a brand appropriate manner to ensure visual merchandising supports the area needs.
- Act as a mentor and coach for in-store visual team, hiring new colleagues and developing existing colleagues.
- Work with selling reports, budgets, and other available tools to make sound visual merchandising decisions based on data and key performance indicators
- Conduct regular joint visits with the Area Manager to identify key VM / Product opportunities in store.
- Maintain communication and check in on VM standards throughout the year through in-person store visits and remote visits via teams and photo feedback.
- Support stores with sales floor mapping for the implementation of new VM guidelines.
- Conduct regular competition shops and keep up to date with visual merchandising industry standards
- Oversee, support, and execute openings and rebuilds to deliver highest COS VM standards

For Area Visual candidates we are also looking for someone who has
- Excellent knowledge of store operational and visual merchandising standards
- A proven track record of implementing visual merchandising plans and guidelines and delivering on Key Performance Indicators
- Skilled in giving constructive feedback and encouraging your team to try new things
- Up to date with fashion/retail trends and is knowledgeable about products, services etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present information in a simple way and adapt communication to suit the audience
- Who can prioritize efficiently and make careful, resourceful choices
- Is respectful and non-judgmental
- Can express own opinions even when they differ from the majority, however accepts and contributes to agreed outcomes
- Seek feedback and learning opportunities to grow and develop both yourself and the business
Other requirements
- Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance
- Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
- Ability to work flexible hours and extended hours at times
- Around 50 % travel required as necessary
- Spanish language skills is an advantage but not required
