POSITION SUMMARY
Cultural Arts Instructors must have a positive attitude as well as knowledge of subject matter (the art of painting, drawing, crafts etc.) that is planned to be taught. Curriculum must meet the needs of the population in which it is marketed to. Instructor must be dependable, flexible, and able to adapt material to meet the needs of participants attending the class. Must follow City of Englewood policies and procedures.

- Must be responsible and punctual.

- Presents art material in a positive, professional, and motivational manner.
- Be prepared and use creative, interactive and engaging teaching methods.
- Communicates in an enthusiastic, warm and friendly demeanor
- Must enjoy working with the community, especially the senior population.
- Keeps track of class attendance and reports to the Program Administrator.
- Reports all concerns or rescheduling to the Program Administrator.
- Attends occasional special events to promote classes.
- Instructors are paid for scheduled class time when in attendance.
- The ability to work with groups of people, communicate clearly and effectively and collaborate as part of a team.
- Must follow and understand all City of Englewood Parks and Recreation Policies and Procedures.
PREPARATION AND TRAINING
Any combination of Art education and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and physical abilities necessary for excellent job performance.
HOURLY RATE
$20.00 – $23.00/hour
