The Visual, Audio, and Media Arts Department (Journalism, Graphics Design, Videography and Film, Simulation and Game Design, and Photography) provides students with opportunities for growth and development that set the foundation for self-directed learning, academic achievement, relevant, real-world training, and career accomplishment for commercial application. The Art Model plays a crucial role in our Photography Human Form Course by providing an engaging and diverse range of poses for students to capture and study the human form. This individual will be comfortable modeling nude, displaying various poses and maintaining them for periods of times to ensure students have ample time to understand the intricacies of the human body. The Art Model will contribute to a dynamic and inspiring learning environment by working closely with the course instructor and students throughout the duration of the course.
Description of Position
Art models pose for the Photography Human Form Course. Most modeling is in the nude and involves a variety of poses sustained over varying periods of time.
Provide a reliable, versatile, and visual reference for students.
This position provides modeling for classes on an “as needed” basis. Potential times for fall 8/24/2023-12/07/2023 on Thursday between 12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: There are no specific requirements to become an art model.
Preferred Qualifications: Membership in or experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of individuals from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Demonstrate patience to maintain precise poses for extended periods and accommodate the learning process of students
- Strong teamwork abilities to effectively collaborate with students and instructors, fostering a productive and supportive environment
- Excellent listening skills to comprehend and follow instructions and directions provided by instructors and students
- Sufficient physical stamina to assume and hold various positions for extended periods including sitting, standing, or lying down
- Confidence and comfort in posing in front of diverse audiences, maintaining a professional demeanor throughout the session

Starting Salary: Starting salary is determined by education and experience in accordance with our compensation plan.
