We are presently seeking an experienced Full-Time Remote Place and Route ASIC Design Engineer to help accelerate the pace of innovation with our customers. Location: Remote, working with VT, NC, or AZ teams
Position Type: Full-Time
Expected Base Pay Scale (USD): $100,000 – $145,000 annual base salary. The successful candidate’s base pay depends on job-related skills, qualifications, experience, geographic location, and market conditions. The expected base pay scale may be adjusted based on market conditions.
As an ASIC Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include being accountable for all aspects of physical design including floor planning, place and route, Clock Tree Synthesis, Clock Distribution, IP integration, extraction, Timing closure, Power and Signal Integrity Analysis, Physical Verification, DFM and Tape Out activities. In addition, you will need to have the ability to interface with Front End Design team to resolve Design Issues.
Requirements of an ASIC Design Engineer include a BS/BE/MS (Any Specialization, Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical) with 5-15 years of industry experience in the following areas: Floorplanning, Place & Route, Clock Tree Synthesis, and experience preferably with the Cadence Innovus tool flow.
- Experience in power planning, IR drop analysis, placement, multi-mode & multi-corner (MMMC), clock tree synthesis, routing, timing optimization are required. In addition, the capability of signal integrity, crosstalk noise and delay analysis, debugging timing violations for multi-mode and multi-corner designs, implementing timing fixes, applying functional ECOs and Timing closure experience in leading edge technologies.
- Experience with STA on large, complex designs and Multi-Scenario Timing Closure and familiarity with ECO techniques and implementation, and PERL/TCL, Linux/Unix shell.
