Assistant Administrator/LNHA

This individual will work closely with the Administrator to help lead Cambridge Senior Living to financial, regulatory, and operational success. He or she will also play an integral role in ensuring staff are excited about where they work and what they do, and that Cambridge is a place that our residents are proud to call home!

Job Description:
• Overseeing day-to-day administration with responsibility for financial performance, marketing, and
compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality of care.
• Complying with Residents’ Rights and community policies and procedures.
• Monitoring Quality Systems Tracer Review Process.
• Coordinating, organizing, directing, and maintaining current work schedules of the clinical care staff
in accordance with current DHS rules and regulations and community policies and procedures.
• Providing orientation and in-service training to community staff regarding DHS rules and regulations,
survey process, risk management, performance improvement, etc.
• Conducting oneself with the highest degree of honesty and integrity in every interaction by
demonstrating respect and compassion.
• Demonstrating a passion for quality care as evidenced by interactions with co-workers, residents,
families, and visitors.
• Assisting fellow team members in maintaining a clean, homelike environment that is free from
hazards by tidying up spaces, cleaning up after residents and ensuring that they always look
presentable.
• Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of resident records and reporting any violations to the VP
of Operations.
• Motivating employees through recognition programs, training, and team building.
• Providing supervision of the Management Team Directors, including but not limited to; monitoring
job performance, coaching, counseling, and conducting management team’s performance
evaluation.
• Preparing and/or providing oversight of monthly staffing schedules to assure staff resources are
managed and scheduled efficiently to meet resident needs/acuity and budget.
• Representing CSL in a positive manner while attending conferences/meetings and working with
outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third-party payers, or provide an
authorized representative of the community when unable to attend such meetings.
• Completing routine inspections of the community to assure that established policies and procedures
are implemented and followed.
• Demonstrating the proper use of equipment.
• Reporting and appropriately documenting all incidents/accidents of residents, visitors, and staff,
reporting it per regulations.
• Completing/assisting in the completion of required drills.
• Following Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Remaining in compliance with all state, federal, and government agencies.
• Reviewing new regulations and implementing changes as needed.
• Participating in State and Federal surveys and compliant investigations, representing CSL in the
highest standard, and reviewing, and developing a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during
survey inspections.
• Reviewing and investigating resident complaints to ensure compliance with resident rights policies
and working to resolve resident grievances.
• Following all federal, state and company reporting requirements.
• Recruiting and hiring competent Management Team Directors, clinical care staff, and other
auxiliary personnel.
• Participating in developing community/department budgets and maintaining a positive relationship
with contracted vendors.
• Reviewing monthly financial statements and budgets with Management Team Directors, notating
and explaining budget variances, making sure that the community is operating within budgetary
guidelines.
• Maintaining a good public relations program together with the Admissions & Community Relations
Director that serves the best interest of the facility and outside community alike.
• Showing up for work on time and following the appropriate call-in procedure when necessary.
• Maintaining a high standard and professional dress attire.
• Participating in administrative meetings and other gatherings as deemed necessary.
• Reviewing ISPs and resident progress notes in electronic medical record.
• Completing proper documentation in electronic medical record.
• Attending all mandatory staff in-services.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Following rules and regulations outlined in DHS 83 and CSL Policies and Procedures that are not
specifically outlined above.

Qualifications:
• A valid nursing home administrator’s license issued by the department of safety and professional.
services.
• 2+ years of Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living community management experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CBRF Registry, CPR/AED certified, and Alzheimer’s/Dementia care experience preferred, but not
required.
